Tablet manufacturing and tablet development

At Rain we pride ourselves on keeping our manufacturing equipment up to date and in recent years have upgraded our tabletting machinery to include the latest in automation and process control. Our modern machinery is programmable and automatically controls tablet weight to give a consistent product. The types of tablet available include:

Standard Round
Controlled Release
Chewable

The tablets we manufacture are suitable for a range of products, including halal, kosher, organic, vegetarian, and vegan.

Formulation

Our expert New Product Development (NPD) team will work with you to determine the best formulation options for your tablet. The NPD team have access to hundreds of standard formulations but if something more bespoke is required then they will guide you through the process and recommend ingredients specific to the markets your products are aimed at.

Once a formulation has been agreed, a trial will be carried out to determine the optimum processing parameters for your chosen formulation.

Manufacturing Capability

With our modern machinery we can produce up to 400,000 tablets an hour, using a single or quad tooling set-up. Currently, we can manufacture the following tablet sizes:

8 mm
11 mm

Other size, shape and branded options are available upon request. At the end of the tabletting process all tablets are de-dusted to ensure the best possible finish.

Bulk Filled Tablet Production

We can supply bulk filled tablets, boxed to your requirements but typically 25K per box minimum.
The MOQ for bulk filled tablets is 300,000 (12 boxes).

Pack & Label

All products are packed and labelled according to customer requirements. Our packing line technology can fill tablets into the following pack types:

Bottles
Pouches
Mail Packs
Tubs
Jars

Labels are produced by our print suppliers, using the latest digital printing technology. This offers our customers a multitude of options for label finishes such as embossing, foiling and varnishing.
