Rain Employees working to help those in need in Ukraine

As a business we knew we wanted to support in the efforts of those in need in Ukraine and help in some way. This was then taken on as two employees; Monika and Natalia wanted to take ownership of our offering and organise the effort.

We facilitated their ownership of the relief effort and they have created something wonderful. Between them they have organised collections of essential supplies from their colleagues in the business and with wider businesses, they’ve packed 40 boxes full of these supplies and added labels in both English and Polish. As well as this, they have organised and collected financial donations to buy further supplies to fill more boxes and provide more essential products that are needed.

Our Founder, Rupert O’Connell, said “I had the pleasure of helping them at the shops and spent time talking to them. They are both personally affected by this – by friends and relations who have had to flee, and by family homes being so close to the border they can hear the bombs. Their families are out there helping every day and so are they. Well done Natalia and Monika”

In addition to everything they have already done, they are also donating some of their hard-earned wage each month to families affected. When asked if they were sure they could afford this, they replied “I have food in the cupboard for my family, and a roof over our head, these people do not.”

We are so proud to have such fantastic employees willing to donate, organise and help in any way they can.
